Solo holiday in late January - all ideas welcome

I have a milestone birthday in late January and for various reasons, I’ll be on my own. I want to be somewhere warm, with lots of activities and where I won’t feel awkward about being solo. I have a £5k budget.

I wondered about a cruise as I love the idea of travelling to different places and having access to activities and entertainment but I don’t know what the experience would be like solo.

I’m open to all ideas.

I would go somewhere in the Caribbean - Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, all would be lovely at that time of year. Pick an all inclusive hotel with lots going on and you'll meet loads of people.

Thanks @LovelyBitOfSquirrel69 that sounds wonderful. Do you have any recommendations for hotels?

I did three weeks in Costa Rica early Jan. Some of it with a tour group as it's convenient getting around and then a week on my own on a beach and books at the end.

Some examples of the kind of things on the tour went on trips to rainforest, volcano, rafting, zipwire, beaches. You could mostly choose to do as much or as little with groups as you liked.

Singapore! So much to see and do and very safe. You'll be fine solo.

I've stayed at Sugar Bay in Barbados a few times - lovely friendly place with wonderful staff. Haven't been to the other two Islands though.
