Torquay is a touristy and slightly run down town in Devon. Devon is a county and there are lots of places to visit. What sort of things do you like doing on holiday? That will help narrow it down.

Make sure wherever you go, that it will have things to do if its cold and rainy

What is important to you in a holiday? Devon is the third largest county in the England. Whereas, Torquay is a coastal town in South Devon. If beaches were top of my list for a holiday I would not be going to Torquay. There are many loves beaches in Devon especially North Devon and the South Hams.
