Is there any nice white sandy beach resort on either of these islands?
I love a resort with a white sandy beach with rolling waves.
I was disappointed with the beaches in Costa Adeje and the one in Corallejo ( beside the Secrets Bahia Real hotel )
Perhaps we didn't look hard enough.
We don't drive when abroad so it would have to be within walking distance of the resort.
Can anyone recommend one and a resort very nearby, on any of the Canary Islands please ?
Thank you in advance.

I've just come back from Lanzarote and Playa Blanca had a nice golden beach. It's massive though.

Thank you @BruceIsACake

Oops, I meant not massive.

We were in Corralejo in September, I'm not sure where the hotel you mentioned is but one of the selling points of that whole area is access to several miles of sandy beaches and dunes with a wavy beach? I assume you were closer to town and just didn't want to/were too far to walk out to Flag Beach? I think you should look again at the island and next time choose a resort a bit further out of town or actually on the beach.

If you gp to otherside of Fuerteventure to Cotillo, there are lagoons with turqoise water.
Las Dunas on the road into Corallejo are massive and have huge beaches.
Corralejo has a couple of small beaches and i wouldn't say they are representative of what the area has to offer.
The big beaches behind the dunes host international windsurfing and surfing competitions so they have big, big waves and a lot of wind.

Puntas Arenas in the south have big beaches too.

Take a look at Jandia Playa in southern Fuerteventura. The beach goes on for ever, the sand is white and the sea is clear turquoise. I absolutely promise you will not be disappointed Smile

I didn't like Playa Blanca, it feels very 'Brits abroad' and I didn't think it was a nice beach. We stayed just down from it at Flamingo beach at Tui Blu which was much prettier and nicer IMO but also small, I expected to hate it as I'm not big on resorts but actually we really enjoyed it. It very much depends what you're looking for from a beach though, if you didn't like Costa Adeje or Corallejo then you might not like either of them.

Why didn't you like CA or C and what are you looking for?

The Grandes Playas in Corralejo, Fuerteventura is stunning!

Thanks @Suzypoo10
It looks fab.
What hotel or apartment would you recommend that is nearby ?

My friend goes to Tui Magic life in Fuerteventura every single year as she loves it so much and she says the beach is amazing - it looks lovely in photos. But there isn’t much else there, so if you’re happy to be mostly on resort all the time it might be fine but I’d be bored to tears.

LadyEloise1 · 11/11/2022 10:47

Thank you @Afterfire
I think I'd be bored too.
I googled hotels near the Grandes Playas beach on Tripadvisor - the nearest was 1.1km but others were 13km away - not quite an amble. Smile
Do any hotels or apartments actually overlook the beach ?
I know the authorities are strict re building in Fuertaventura and Lanzarote and rightly so.

The Rui Olivia Beach hotel is on this beach, but there isn’t much else around. We stayed at the Alua Suites, around 25 minutes walk away (a five minute taxi ride)

Thank you for your reply @Choconut
I would like a nice sandy beach with rolling waves and definitely not a "Brits Abroad" as you call it, vibe Smile
I was disappointed with CA's beaches.
I'll check out Flamingo beach.
