Does anyone have a good recommendation for a location for a family holiday (me, DH, 2DCs aged 7 and 4) where we can have a relaxing week somewhere pretty with nice food and a good beach? We did an AI in Halkidiki this year and I hated it - middle of nowhere, dire food, could have been anywhere as we didn't leave the resort so I think we need to try something different..! Thanks!

we stayed once ata hotel called I melograni in Vieste in italy . lovely hotel with nice pools a beautiful beach and an easy walk into the town to wonderful restaurants and ice cream lots of children up in the evenings with their parents. such a lovely holiday but a bit of a drive from the airport but worth it

Don't do AI.

How about Corsica?

What kind of budget do you have?

MissAmbrosia · 04/11/2022 20:25

Culture and a beach and nice food? Nice, or Antibes. Brittany or Normandy. Puglia. Bay of Naples. That's if you want proper sight seeing too. Sardinia / Southern Corsica have the food and beaches. Italian Lakes have the culture and the food. Depends how you want to travel.

Or Spain - Barcelona, Valencia, Costa de la Luz near Cadiz

Thanks all, some good suggestions! I have been to Valencia pre kids and loved it. Corsica sounds like it could be good..

Carvoeiro or Ferragudo, Algarve - that meets all your requirements.
