Dd has been invited to go to the London Dungeon with a friend and her family. She is 12, but a real wimp very sensitive child. How scary is it?

If it's anything like the Edinburgh one, it's pretty scary. DS (11) got very scared halfway through and wanted to leave. And I believe there's a Jack the Ripper thing going on at the London dungeon at the moment too.

I found it revolting, offensive and horrifying ybh. But then, I don't revel in torture or enjoy violence.

Thank you. She's pretty dubious herself, but doesn't want to look pathetic in front of he friend. I think I'll suddenly discover we're doing something else that day. It sounds as if it's not the sort of thing I'd want her to see, even if she wasn't going to be frightened.

I would get her out of it

I agree with greeny on this one

Thank you. Now to find a way of making sure she doesn't tell her friend why she doesn't want to go - she (the friend) would never let her forget it!

DS (11) went with DH last year and TBH I am not sure he enjoyed it - he is a sensitive soul and it was a bit much for him

I went a few weeks back with my 25yo sister. Some bits are fine, but others seriously scared the s**t out of us! There were parents there who had their 6yo children with them. I couldn't believe it! The poor kids were so bloody scared at times!

I also agree, extricate the poor love and take her to see something pleasant

UGH

I loved it as a teenager, but then I was horror film loving, gore fiend - depends on the child IMO
