Airlines/holiday company that have free cancellation

Or pay extra to get free cancellation available. I know klm do this. Do any other airlines? Or holiday companies? Looking to book holiday next summer. We struggle to know for sure which dates are best due to work commitments but i want to be able to book something now.

Excluding the low cost ones, I would have thought all airlines will let you book a fully flex ticket however they’re usually so expensive though it’s not worth it unless you’re travelling for business on specially negotiated corporate rates. Then there’s an option in the middle (BA call it Plus) where you pay a change fee plus fare difference, but that’s not saving you money because you still have to pay the fare as it is at the time of changing plus the fee meaning it would be cheaper to just book when you know you your dates.

Package holiday might be a better option?

Yes maybe package holiday and just lose deposit. We havent done a package before, just off to research

The low-cost ones also all (afaik) have "premium"/flex options.
Packages won't let you cancel/change after a certain time- so read the small print. Someone on here the other day wanted to change their package booking but it was past the window where the company permitted it so it would have been a cancellation with no refund + paying for the new holiday in full.

Jet2 are pretty good. Only £60 deposit per person up to 90 days in advance if you cancel.
We had booked a November trip to Madeira on the basis DS16 would be fine on his own for the week, but over the summer we changed our minds and also didn't want to spend the money. It was very easy to cancel, or for £50 each we could have changed to another booking.
