Warm Easter holiday

Need to book something for 2023, Easter would be the easiest for us but I’m guessing most of Europe would still be a bit chilly at the beginning of April.
We are a family of four, budget around 3k, any ideas?

with that budget, look at Morocco

midsomermurderess · 25/10/2022 09:18

Madeira would be nice in April.

Radiatorvalves · 25/10/2022 09:20

Egypt? Might be politically problematic. Rest of Middle East warm but expensive.

Benjaminsniddlegrass · 25/10/2022 09:24

We are going to Morocco for Easter next year, spending about the same for family of three for just over 2 weeks and have gone for very nice hotels/having a couple of nights in Bedouin tents in the Sahara. What I'm reading suggests warm but not stupidly hot at that time of year.

Tenerife. Nice beaches, walking on the volcano, nice food, Siam water park, chilled out with no hassle. Plenty warm enough for us.

Whistlesandbell · 25/10/2022 18:20

Canaries, Egypt maybe Cyprus.

maddy68 · 25/10/2022 18:24

Morrocco but choose a big resort with lots to do

Georgyporky · 25/10/2022 18:30

I'd plump for Madeira as well.

Might be a bit of (warm) rain, but it's the rain that keeps it green & so beautiful.

We were in Egypt last March.
Warm, & fascinating country - but I agree not for everyone.

We went this year to Tenerife. It was definitely warm enough to lie at the pool but pools can be unheated.

Northern Tenerife was more cloudy and had a bit of rain, I would opt for the southern part.

We still preferred long trousers in the evenings though and had a hoodie with us.

Chocolate for breakfast Easter Sunday.
Can't cook lamb the kids think lambs are "fluffy"
A lengthy debate about Jesus, bible, sins. We are all atheists but we understand Easter is the most important Christian festival.

No decorations, plenty of that at Christmas, don't feel the need to "cheer the house up"as much in spring when the nights are longer and it's a bit warmer. Nature cheers us up enough.

Where did you book in the end?

Coffeepot72 · 03/04/2023 23:32

We were in Egypt last Easter, hot and sunny. We have also visited the Canaries at Easter but don’t find it warm enough for a beach holiday?

DeeofDenmark · 04/04/2023 09:00

We gave up on the idea of warm and just booked flights and vllla in Italy, looking forward to going at the weekend.
