Sorry not sure what happened there! Anyway I want to take dh away for his birthday in February, looking at short haul flights. We've had to discount a few choices due to flight availability so I've narrowed it down to a few locations. Flights to Malaga - so looking at either Nerja or Benaldamena -anyone have any tips on either area?

Considering also Nice or Porto as options too. Any thoughts or experience welcome 😊

Malaga itself? Lovely place for a short break.

I’d second Malaga, lovely city with a beach to walk along on nice days. Birthplace of Picasso, Roman ruins, lots of lovely place to eat. I’d go to an old town hotel with an indoor pool.

Thank you both, I did consider Malaga itself but wasn't sure how pretty the area was...so good to know its a possibility too. For context, we like to walk lots, not hilly walks but scenic. The hotel is important obviously, somewhere lively with an indoor pool and nice views! I want it all! Would love to hear anyone who's been to Nerja or Benaldamena too. 😊

Benalmadena is a bit Benidorm. Nerja and Malaga are nice.

Seville. Love it there.

Cordoba or Malaga. I was in each recently and they are both pretty places to wander around.

We stayed here, it was beautiful, excellent views and food.

No indoor pool though.

I have been to Porto several times, and nice twice. Love both.
Porto is cheaper!
I have stayed in Belamadena for a short break, but tbh, I would just stay in Malaga. It’s wonderful for a short break!
Great train service that takes you all down the coast as well if you fancy a resort experience.
Nerja is fab as well!
