Which Canary Island/which part in Oct half term?

Hi. Looking to book some sun for next Oct half term. Canaries sounds like the best option, have found articles online recommending Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria. Does anyone have any recommendations please as to which island is best and which area?

We are a family of 3, 10 year old daughter. We would want it as quiet as possible, not a busy/lovely resort. My daughter likes art, history, animals, architecture.

TIA x

Tenerife peurto de la Cruz would probably fit the bill but it won't be as warm as you think I'm half terms.

The north can also be a bit windy. But you have Loro parque for animals and can visit twice for history and Santa Cruz capital isn't far to visit art and artichecture.

If wanting the south for better weather (still not guaranteed!) Los Cristinos is better for quiet or further down at La caleta.

I really recommend Lanzarote. It's especially interesting for its architecture and the influence of the architect Cesar Manrique. If your daughter likes art and architecture it would be a great place for her. It's a really, really attractive island generally because the overall 'look' is tightly controlled eg. no high rise building, restricted public advertising, all buildings in traditional style, indigenous planting etc. There are several interesting museums plus the volcanic national park and vineyards are fascinating. Also, the climate is good all year.

I wish! It was a little breezy this afternoon which was a welcome relief. We go to Caleta as its 10 mins from the airport and about 20 euros in a taxi.

We went to Tenerife at half term (without our kids) and stayed in Santa Cruz (as we wanted a bit of sun but mostly to see the historic side of the island). The weather was a bit changeable on the north side but generally low 20s with a few showers (warm enough to go in the hotel pool). It was absolutely stunning though, especially Parque Rural de Anaga and La Laguna (brilliant for history). If we went again with kids, we'd probably look at staying in Puerto de la Cruz.

Would also recommend Puerto de la Cruz.

I love fuerteventura

I've been to all the islands and some in winter. I always avoided Fuertaventura in winter because I found it quite chilly in the wind in June. However I've recently learned that it's less windy in winter.
It's a beautiful island but doesn't really tick your boxes.
I would choose Lanzarote as @Byfleet says.

Lanzarote for all the Cesar Manrique art and architecture. We've been many times all year round and the weather is always good.
We also love Fueteventura, El cotillo for the beautiful beaches.
Book a villa and a car and you will guarantee peace and quiet.
