Summer holidays with 5 and 6 yo?

Hello, we have two girls who love swimming amd cycling and wondering where to go on holiday next summer. Will be 5 and 6 then.
Would like to be able to walk to cafes and restaurants. They will eat most things.

We do camping in UK so not camping but is there anywhere you would suggest?

Am wondering Ile de ré or will they be too little. Any specific places to stay let me know!

Duinrell

Do you want to fly or drive? Budget? Self catering vs hotels? We did a lot of Eurocamp when dd was little but not everyone likes that sort of thing.

And Duinrell is fab.

Don't mind fly / drive, budget flexible. Eurocamp might be good one day but don't want to camp next summer.

I can do self catering but prefer to be able to walk to restaurants also

Some of the lodges at Duinrell are quite nice - not really ‘camping’ and certainly got restaurants within an easy walk.

Annecy is beautiful, lake swimming, very safe cycling, restaurants etc. Montreaux also fabulous, but will be expensive in festival week.
