Twixmas break ideas in UK

I've been looking for a Twixmas break in the UK, but struggling to find something that isn't either ridiculously expensive or fully booked. Having just read the Santa Sleepover suggestions such as Alton Towers, Warwick Castle, etc I was hoping there was something similar for between Christmas and New Year. However i can't seem to find anything decent.
Happy for one night or a few nights, anywhere in the UK. Must be kid friendly and have activities for them to do / enjoy.

It's for a family of 4 with kids aged 4 and 5

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Ribby Hall Lancashire. Lots of activities and only 10 minutes drive from the coast .

I don't know but I've seen it a couple of times recently and it makes the hairs on my arms stand on end 😆. I've just seen the explanation and actually imagined it was the time before Xmas (see tween).

To answer the question, a hydro/spa hotel is always a good shout

Pressed post too soon - meant to add look at groupon/living social arc for some good deals and ideas. Search spa/hydro hotels on Google. Crieff hydro definitely a good option for kids activities

We stayed at The Arden Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon and it was lovely. They have a special 'Betwixt and Between' offering for that time so have a look. There's so much to do there it would be lovely with kids!

Have you had a look at Butlins OP? They are offering 10% off Twixmas breaks at the moment with code FESTIVE - you can add in a meal plan too which is less hassle with kids, plus they have activities on site. (Disclaimer: I haven't been to Butlins for a few years, but it was great when my DC were smaller!)

Also, I love the word Twixmas as it reminds me of chocolate AND Christmas Grin

Some great suggestions here, I'd love to have a lovely festive break in Scotland but DTS1 isn't a great traveller so at the moment we're stuck much closer to home. Also I would love Centre Parcs but would need to rob a bank first

Thanks for all the suggestions you’ve all made so far.

Crieff hydro or McDonald Aviemore sound great, but as I’m based near Oxford the distance is just too great.

Any other suggestions which are perhaps a little closer, even if just for one night? Must have something for the little ones though such as a character, / entertainer / magician.

sorry to ask again

I had suggested the McDonald Aviemore but can see it’s quite the drive now!

Wooley grange []www.woolleygrangehotel.co.uk/spa Bradford upon Avon]].

Centre Parcs do various winter breaks. We did a pre Christmas one when the DC’s were a toddler, 7 & 8.

Turnberry is a real treck (but not as far as Aviemore) and so horse riding, swimming, archery, kids afternoon tea etc.

Alternatively pop on the Eurostar for a couple of nights at Disneyland Paris.
