What are your top tips please? / draft itinerary!

So much to see and do in Athens!

Go to:
Monastiraki/Plaka in the center and wander around all the little streets and wander up the hills
the Acropolis and Acropolis museum
The temple of Olympian Zeus and Olympic stadium
Get the tram to the coast and depending on time of year go to a beach club
Day trip to Vougliameni
Day trip to some islands (Hydra, Poros)

I'd add to the PP a trip up Mount Lycabettus. It's the highest point in central Athens, so gives great views. If you have time, a trip to Cape Sounion would also be worthwhile.
