Okay. So I’ve had an AWFUL year. Had to cancel a family holiday to Mexico we had waited 3 years for 3 weeks before we flew so lost most of the money. I stupidly had left insurance to the last minute having lost the premium twice during covid when the holiday was cancelled. I had a cancer diagnosis followed by surgery and chemo hence the cancellation.
Our parents have agreed to have our little one for 10-14 days next year so DH and I can have our first long haul luxury holiday as a “well done you’re still alive” reward. I am so excited and clinging to this to get me through the last few rounds of chemo.
Where would you go? I really really wanted to do the Maldives but can’t se to find a direct flight and the sheer travel time involved is putting me off. We’d ideally go between Feb and May.
Options I’ve looked at so far are
Maldives (would love but travel time is wild)
Mauritius (looks amazing)
St Lucia
If you had the option to do a one-off beautiful holiday where would you? Seychelles/Fiji/BVI WAY out of budget! £5-6k for all inclusive for both at the very max.
