What will happen? Holiday booked for 4, now only 3 are going

I've booked an AI with TUI and one person has dropped out. They won't be replaced with anyone else. When this possibility was looming I called Tui and a nice woman just said 'ah just turn up at airport the 3 of you, they will class person 4 as a no show, no need to tell us in advance'.

Has anyone actually done this and did it all turn out ok? It's just me and two kids going and I am a bit nervous!

Maybe call the airline.

Have they paid? Probably worth them cancelling if they have any hope of getting any part refund. Why have they cancelled?

All paid in full and definitely no chance of getting any sort of refund. The person is ok with losing their money. There's an admin fee for replacing them with someone else (which I don't want to do). Basically they changed their mind. Which is fine, I just don't want it to affect the rest of us that are still going. I booked it all so I'm the lead passenger etc.

Like the travel agent said, you just turn up. As long as they get paid, the companies don't care if you show up or not.
