Eurocamp-ish with culture.

We are looking for a summer holiday for 6 of us. Kids aged 4-14. We have done eurocamp for the last few years, and like the freedom that type of self-catering brings, and the pool complexes are great for the little ones.

This year I would really like to keep the pool, and maybe a nearby beach, but be in a more cultural area, rather than just a beach strip. Something like a campsite near Pompeii would be ideal, but open to anything really. Budget isn't massive, so would still need to come in at accommodation for under 2.5k for a week/10 days.

Union Lido is close to Venice www.unionlido.com/en/live-local/excursions/ and Camping Village Fabulous is within very easy reach of Rome.

There’s a whole stretch of campsites including Union Lido along the coast near Venice.

If you don’t need guaranteed hot weather Duinrell in the Netherlands is great. Beach close by, amazing pool and amusement park on site. Beautiful towns to visit including Amsterdam nearby. Loads of child friendly museums and attractions.

Guînes near Calais with Azincourt museum near and the field of thé cloth of gold. Also Nausicaa at Boulogne and quite a lot of WW2 stuff along the coast near Dunkirk.
