We changed our sons forename before he was 1 year old.. we have the long bc in his old name and the only other we could purchase was the short one in his new name . Passport Office are demanding the long one in his new name and its not available to purchase. They won't have it they're refusing to issue passport.. I.ve emailed my local registrar asking if I can purchase one. So fr not herd anything.. passport office are asking for deedpoll items his name change didn't require deedpoll items. Just a quick name change I got no paperwork apart from the short bc.. seeing other posts on here I read one where passport apologised to her saying they had made a mistake because name change was under one year old.. but they're not backing down with me.. last email requested a full amended birth certificate is there such a thing ??advice please and thank you
