Help finding a holiday with a complex list of requirements

I’m trying to book a holiday for next June but have a complicated list of requirements to keep everyone happy.

We want warm sun for lazing around the pool but the flight needs to be as short as possible (health reasons), ideally no more than 2.5 / 3 hours.

I think all inclusive makes sense as teenagers and adults who eat at very different times.

We’d like quite a luxurious feel to the hotel and not a kids club type place as the teens are older teens.

The resort needs to be flat (again health reasons).

We like to be able to go
for gentle strolls and ideally would like a local village / town to mooch about in.

I’m not certain at that time of year we can get the guaranteed sun we want without a longer flight.

Any suggestions would be really helpful, thank you!

Salou?

Searchingforsun · 02/10/2022 22:26

Is there a specific hotel you’d recommend there @Northernsoullover

I can’t recommend particular hotels but I’d look at Majorca. I think Puerto Pollensa, Cala Bona and Cala Millor are pretty flat? You can hire mobility scooters out there if that helps with exploring?

I was wondering about Majorca as we’ve been there lots before but never all inclusive.

It seems a shame to go all inclusive anywhere but think it’s definitely the best option for the circumstances of this holiday.

I just have no idea where to start with when choosing an hotel as the hotel needs to not have lots of steps and slopes as well.

Rhodes?

BarbaraofSeville · 03/10/2022 09:29

That doesn't seem particularly complex unless your budget is very tight. You'd be able to find all that in most parts of the Balearics or Spanish Costas. Somewhere like like Palma Mallorca or the Costa del Sol.

Put your requirements into the search function of somewhere like Jet2holidays, have a play with the filters and see what comes up.

bettbburg · 03/10/2022 09:32

Rhodes has a good, and flat, first choice all inclusive resort

Costa del sol

Searchingforsun · 03/10/2022 11:31

Isn’t Rhodes a longer flight than 2.5/3 hours from the UK?

I’ve been there before and loved it but a quick google tells me it’s approximately a 4 hour flight from the UK.

I guess thinking about it, it would be helpful to have specific hotel recommendations if anyone has any.

well where are you flying from, as a 3hr max flight will give different ideas if you were flying from gatwick or newcastle?

Sao Rafael Suites outside Albufeira in Portugal. We went in June a few years ago and it was lovely and quiet. Had the pools to ourselves. All inclusive was fab. Luxurious feel and massive suites. We had a large suite with two seperate bedrooms. Loads of space. Good flight time, not too far from airport and short taxi ride to Albufeira - there are lively parts to it that teens could explore and lovely little bars to sit and watch the world go by.

Hotel itself was fairly flat but I remember there were lifts dotted throughout

Flying from Cardiff or Bristol ideally but could possibly do a London airport for more choice.

Will check that hotel out, thanks @TheSmallThings8

Why not go into the TUI shop and talk to them - there's one in cribbs causeway Bristol not sure about Cardiff.

It was 3.5 hours to fuerterentura from Bristol but really simple on arrival. The complex I stayed at would meet most your criteria but the nearest town was a bus away (hotel had a bus stop) choice of restaurants included in price. Next summer we are doing Mallorca in May, should be sunny and 23 according to historical averages

If you go to a travel agent they will have all the information you need and they are able to contact the tour operators

We went to magic natura in benidorm this summer. It could fit your bill quite well.

It's an all inclusive resort and you get a little chalet. The resort is a bit hilly but there's a free shuttle bus that goes round the resort. I saw lots of people using it who had mobility issues.

Great for teenagers as on-site there is a zoo and water park. You get free unlimited entry to both for your holiday. The water park in particular was very good value.

It's out of the town of benidorm but there is a free bus if you want to go or a short taxi ride.

Alicante is just over 2hr flight and transfer is about 45mins.
