Swim up rooms for a solo

Babysharkdoodoodood · 01/10/2022 19:27

Looking to go after Easter holidays. Around 17th April. Trying to find somewhere that has a swim up room or share pool for less than a grand for around a week.

Only looked at TUI and jet2 so far.

I don't actually care where it is as long as I can get a little sun and it's not too long a flight. I just like my privacy hence the pool room and want to sit by it and read.

Any suggestions greatly welcomed.

Thank you

Shameless bump. Anyone?

No help, but that sounds fantastic...

ReAlly recommend Susesi resort in Belek. Lovely swim up pool rooms

Solo as in solo woman?

Mingot · 04/10/2022 21:04

Anywhere in Europe the pool will be icy cold unless heated

Lago Resort (or Suites) Menorca

you'll have to go long haul at easter, Europe isn't warm enough. I wouldn't go to Turkey as a single woman.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 04/10/2022 22:45

What about the southern coastline of Croatia? That may be warmer April that say Spain etc.

Oliveandbay · 04/10/2022 22:46

Canaries are hot enough at Easter

Babysharkdoodoodood · 05/10/2022 19:01

Canaries would be fine. The temperature doesn't bother me really but I can't find a holiday calendar company that will do a package for a solo in a swim up room.

It's just after the Easter break, if that makes a difference

Alia Palace in Pefkohori (Halkidiki) has nice rooms with private pools that have sea views. Won't be very warm in April though!

TUI and Thomas Cook will definitely let a solo guest book a package with a swim up room. You are going to be restricted by a £1000/week budget and I doubt will be able to find one if you are looking for an all inclusive package.

You could though get something like Villas Puerto Rubicon in Lanzarote (through thomas cook) which are small villa each with private pools.

We've stayed at Villas Puerto Rubicon. They're nice, well located (large convenience store and bakery couple of minutes walk away and not much further to marina with restaurants and beaches), small private villas and excellent value, we booked using On The Beach, which I wouldn't recommend, but you can get them also direct or on Jet2holidays, so worth comparing different booking methods.

However, the pool is small and not heated and I'd expect it to be cold in April unless you're a hardy cold water swimmer type. Or if you're alone and it's private, you could always just swim in a wetsuit, rash suit or clothes, if you fancy a dip.

But we've swum in the sea in Lanzarote and it was bearable, so I'd expect that to be slightly warmer in April, so maybe the pool would be too.

Swum in the sea in December and January that is.

I stayed in a fantastic hotel in Crete on my own last year, just outside Chania. But I went 1 June so it had warmed up. I had a fantastic little pool of my own, right next to the main pool. It was about £1200 for 4 nights I think so a bit out of budget but might be better priced earlier in the year.

That's do/able for 4 nights as I have loads of a avios points for a flight. May look into that more.

Thanks

If you do, let me know: I also have taxi details for a lovely family company who picked me up and dropped me back. About 25 mins from the airport 👍
