Different or weird, non walking things to do in NYC

Myself and a friend are doing a 3 week tour of the US in a month. We have 5 days in NYC. We have both already been a couple of times and have already done all the big/main attractions.

When we booked it months ago we were planning on just walking the city without plans and just doing whatever took our fancy at the time, however my friend has now severely injured herself and can not walk far at all. 5 days of wandering aimlessly won’t happen.

I don’t want to spend money on the things we have already seen. She won’t be able to walk around the museums for hours either I would imagine. I have bought tickets to a few broadways shows, but still have lots of time to fill!

Any suggestions of some different “sitting” type activities? The other cities we are visiting we haven’t been to before, so we’ve booked a lot of bus and guided type tours, but I’m now stuck with what to do in New York!

Thank you so much!!

I’ll definitely look into some wheelchair options for museums and the like. She can walk a little, I just remember last time we went my feet were absolutely killing me so much I skipped half of the met and natural history museum because I couldn’t walk anymore, so I don’t think she will manage them.

www.sojospaclub.com

there are so words for how lively this spa is and it will be rejuvenating for you both. Can stay 1/2 day or longer and eat on premises. I would Uber from the city—worth it.

Not in New York but the sports stadiums where I live have an accessibility section. I was permitted to use it with my partner when I broke my leg and could not weight bear.

It was close to entry, toilets, food etc but could only book by ringing. Might be worth looking into if you decide to go to a game??
