Just measured my cabin bag, & it's a tad over their limit.
We're on a Riviera holiday, & I expected a bit of leeway.
My bag is squashy, & will fit under the seat.
Just wondering whether to buy another smaller bag - which could be cheaper than their price for extra hold luggage.

How much over the limit? If it's squashy and you'd be able to fit it into those bag checkers then it should be ok.

Do you mean the small bag size or the cabin bag size? My small bag that is meant to go under the chair is always slightly bigger for a couple of the measurements given but I’ve never been stopped and it’s always comfortably fit under the seat. I’m presuming you don’t mean the cabin bag as that’s normally a small suitcase that wouldn’t fit under the seat?

Just brought this bag. It’s 40x 31x 22cm. It’s soft sided. I know size restrictions on Ryanair flight is 40 x 20x 25 but my partner isn’t taking a personal bag, just me. Wondering if it would fit under the seat. We are both taking a 10 kg bag on with priority passes
