Least bad English school hols for DLP?

We last went to DLP 5 years ago. Bought annual passes and we visited end of August then again following end of May/beginning June. The May/June trip was dreadful weather and the parks were very quiet crowds wise. We were thinking about a Paris/DLP trip summer half term 2023 but it looks like it is likely to be really busy. I guess it always is these days? Wondering if any other school holiday would be less bad? Or do I persuade the kids it would be too busy and re-think for a different theme park all together? Any tips on when/if DLP can be bearable in school holidays?

February half term or very end of August.

We have been in May half term, and whilst the parks were quieter, the queues were similar to those when we have been in August. I think it's because quite a few rides were closed in May/being updated, whereas virtually all rides were open in August. Having said that was far too hot for me in August, much prefer a rainy may day!

My one tip: If your kids are old enough to stay up, we got on loads of rides in between 7pm and 11pm in the evenings , the park really emptied out then. Still 30mins for Peter Pan/thunder mountain but most rides were less. In August.

Friends went in Fevruary but it was freezing. We went in May half term and had a mix of rain showers one day and 25 degrees and full sun the next.

We’re not at all bothered by rain. Least bad crowd situation is more important. Maybe we should wait until end of last week of summer holidays. Thanks for the comments. It’s a shame they got rid of the free fast passes. At least you were guaranteed a couple of big rides with those.

Mine will be 15 and 12 so we can certainly stay late and hope it thins out a bit.

I’d go to Efteling in the Netherlands rather than DLP, we much preferred it and far shorter queues.

We went to Efteling this year and agree it is better than DLP. We’re going back year after next but we fancied Paris and promised a trip to DLP not thinking it seems busier than 5 years ago. Also did Parc Asterix this year which was amazing. I am considering Efteling again as it was so good.
