We're a group of 10 (7 adults 3 kids) looking to go on holiday to Italy next May, ideally renting a 5-6 bedroom house which is in walking distance to a shop/restaurant and which has a pool. For good weather in May we're looking at the south of Italy/Sicily but everything we're finding is a drive to get to any shop or restaurant. Hiring cars will add a lot to the cost of the trip and it would be much easier if we could just walk. Are all Italian holiday rentals out in the countryside or does what we are looking for exist somewhere?
