If we loved Slovenia…

Spent 16 nights in Slovenia this summer and loved the mix of capital city (small, clean) lakes and mountains (lots of activities for kids but not heaving busy) and the gorgeous rivers and waterfalls for chilling all day. Multi centre self catering.
so, if we loved Slovenia, where else do you recommend for next summer ?
For information, have already been to , and loved, French Alps, Lauterbrunnen valley Switzerland and Bavaria.

We went to Zell-am-See in Austria a few years ago- that was lovely. It had a lido, which was great for the couple of really hot days we had, and lots of interesting places to visit at other times.

Val D'Aosta?

Innsbruck and Seefeld, or Mayrhofen?

Another vote for Zell am see, absolutely beautiful with lots to do.

Norway. It has everything!

Norway is beautiful in summer, as is Austria.

Grindelwald and Wengen are supposed to be gorgeous in summer (although I haven't been - keep meaning to go!)

The Dolomites?

Achensee in Tirol, and then you have Innsbruck, Salzburg, etc not far off.

love Slovenia - Lake Bonhinj was a lifetime highlight for me.

Black Forest, or Italian lakes maybe. I love the Pyrenees too. If you can run to long haul, British Columbia is highly recommended too

I’ve not been to Slovenia plan to visit I next couple of years. I love mountains and lakes. I loved lake lugano and northern lake Garda in Italy.

Italy, north of lake garda. Look at Cortina d’Ampezzo.
