Covid vaccine out of date for travel to Spain, and not eligible for booster

Has anyone else had this situation? Got a 14 year old, we’re due to go to Spain next month but her second Covid vaccine was over 270 days ago, so she isn’t counted as fully vaccinated to travel to Spain, but is ineligible for a Covid booster in The UK. Is it just a case that we’ll have to do the Covid pre-trip testing,

She is still fully vaccinated as under 18

Yes. It's no bother really. Just have to test and fill out the Spanish health forms online. We're just back and not vaccinated.

Thank you both. Quartz - that’s just if you’re within 270 days of your last vaccine.

the link says this though

If you are aged 12 to 17 and have not received the booster, but have received two doses of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine approved for use by Spain, then at least 14 days must have passed since your last dose, to qualify as fully vaccinated. You continue to qualify as fully vaccinated more than 270 days after your last dose and do not need to show proof of having received a booster to travel.

If you are over 18

it says what @Summerof22 says for a 14 year old - they do not need a booster

over 18s do

dementedpixie · 18/09/2022 16:54

Only over 18s need the booster to be fully vaccinated for Spain

Under 18s only need the initial 2 vaccines to qualify as fully vaccinated

Thanks so much - I hadn’t noticed the different phrasing with the 270days. Not sure why they had to mention 270 days at all for the 12-17 year olds! That’s a big relief!
