Southampton long stay parking for cruise

Hi there. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to park in Southampton long stay, whilst we are on a cruise? I’ve looked at the council website and they say the parking in their car parks is £4 a day after the first day, but I can’t see if you can book ahead and would prefer to. Thank you!

We have always used CPS but couldn't in august because they were full as five ships were in port however, we used Penguin who were very good but more expensive than CPS. We paid 130 for the week with Penguin!

We always use CPS. I have known people park at West Quay though as that's £5 a day and then get a taxi from there.

We used Park in my Drive, or whatever it’s called once. Got a taxi to the ship.
The parking at the port itself was very good too. Your luggage gets taken to the ship for you.

Thank you so much. CPS is coming up as £182 for the 12 days, which is steep. I’m wondering whether to chance West Quay. Hmmm.

I live in Southampton and feel relatively confident your car would be secure in West Quay. Maybe just try and park underneath a security camera 😅 and not on the 7th floor.

Can you book parking via your cruise company? I know you can with P&O as we do it.

I would pay for cps for the convenience of it

Thank you so much to everyone who gave me advice. I’ve ended up booking a hotel stay and parking with them in the end but you were all really helpful.

This is probably a bit late for you but might help others. We had to travel from the North West to Southampton for a weeks cruise we have just had and looked at parking options in detail. In the end due to the length of the car journey (5 hours) and risk of puncture, accidents etc decided to look for a hotel offering free cruise parking for Southampton and travel down the day before departure. Found a great deal at the Botley Park Macdonald hotel on this website: https://www.bestbookdirect.com/southampton-hotel-with-cruise-parking.html
It included overnight stay, full breakfast, use of the pool etc and free taxis to and from the port (20 min journey). They had loads of secure parking, no height restriction and it is free for up to 15 days!
