Does anyone know Doha, in Qatar? Dh is working there for a week, what should he see, and most importantly what presents should he bring back for us?

Dh will be holed up in a dull international hotel in Doha for a week, running a training course. He'd love to know if anyone has recommendations for places to see or go to, good places to eat, and handy shopping hints!

sorry i have absolutely no idea what its like but my dad was born in doha (i believe his father was in the forces), its probably a fair bit different now, it used to take them about 6 weeks by boat to get there!

Bump for the daytime crowd. There must be someone who jetsets to the Middle East occasionally. Or is Qatar just not where it's at?

Doha is so not where its at. there are some lovely souks where your dh could buy trinket type stuff, oud and the burner, pashminas are cheap, embroidered slippers, stuff like that. Not much to see really, sorry.
