COVID test needed - at-home/in-store?

I'm travelling to Doha next month, they now require all travellers to have a PCR test valid for 48 hour or an LFT valid for 24 hours. It states that a 'self-test will not be considered valid for travel'. Lloyds offer both in-store and at-home LFTs. Does anyone know if the certificate for the at-home one states that it was done at home? Just struggling to figure out how on earth I'm going to fit in an on-site test when I'm working until 6pm the day before we go!

www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/qatar/entry-requirements is current

I would arrange a PCR test to be done under the pharmacy's supervision using something like this lloydspharmacy.com/pages/covid-19-pcr-testing-service

I’m currently in Qatar. Do you have an ExpressTest centre near you? They have slots until about 22:00 and you get results within 30 minutes. What time is your flight the following day? You can get slots at around 06:00 from various airports (I’m guessing you’re flying from Heathrow which also has testing facilities) and test the morning you fly.

Prior to travel, you must complete a travel declaration which includes your passport, negative antigen test results & vaccination certificate. I’m not sure how they verify what documents were attached to it as it was approved instantly. You then have to show the certificate to the staff at check-in as well as your negative test & vaccinations. No one in Doha checked my documentation. I personally wouldn’t risk doing self-testing as my certificate says it was administered by someone else.

Good luck!

Thank you! I've booked the antigen test at the airport for before check-in.
