Flying when pregnant

Hi guys, I can’t get away before Christmas but I really really want a baby moon so I’m considering Croatia in early January - I’d be flying out at 32 weeks and in at nearly 33. It’s only a couple of hours each way. I know if you’re healthy you can fly up to 36 but I’m just curious to see what other people have done and when their cut off was? TIA!

That seems very late.

What if the baby were to arrive early? Have you checked what the situation would be with local hospitals and also with travel insurance?
Would you be stuck in Croatia until you could get a passport for the baby?

You also need to think about comfort in the plane because you’ll be quite big by then.

On a separate note, what’s the weather like in Croatia in January? Won’t it be rather cold?

I flew at 35 weeks with DD, only to the South of France but all fine, flight perfectly comfortable! We have family who live there including SIL who has had kids recently and knows the hospitals and local doctors, and I obviously had insurance so we weren’t any more worried about what if the baby comes early versus if we were at home.
