Any recommendations or pointers of where to start in the search please? Used to camping holidays or couple holidays so a bit baffled by the options. We are hoping for…

-Part of a resort or a short walk to a town/village with restaurants/bars/shops

-Walk or short drive to a beach or lake

-Self catering or breakfast/half-board with ability to self cater

-For 7 adults and 4 children so either one accommodation with 5-7 bedrooms or 3 x 2 bedroom accommodation together

-Open to villas/apartments/Eurocamp style lodges

-Ideally no further than 2 hours from the airport!

thanks!

What's your budget? That will massively impact recommendations!

We are thinking £2-3000 per family for 7 days

Sardinia is the most family friendly destination I've been to. Look up Agriturismo. Some great accommodation options. We stayed just north of Alghero only 5 mins drive from a beautiful shallow bay where we saw dolphins.

I always recommend Royan, a town about an hour south of La Rochelle. Glorious Sandy beaches, very family friendly, busy town centre. We use Vrbo and look at villas etc.

You need mobile homes, agree with France. Look at siblu.
