Schipol airport transfer

Hi anyone know how easy to transfer in schipol is? Quick and easy or do you need hours to get from one end to the other?

It’s a massive airport but really well set out and easy to find your way, depends on which airline, KLM has its base there

It's a huge airport but as long as you don't have any walking difficulties it's very easy to navigate. Probably the longest walk would be 30 minutes.

I spent 3 years using Schipol.twice a week. I've walked from one end to the other probably a thousand times.

Thanks - is a 55 min window to change too short? I'm guessing so but it's that or 4 hours!

Totally doable if your first flight is on time! There are so many delays these days it's hard to count on that. But if the flights are with the same airline/partners then they'll put you on the next available flight (with space) if you're late.

Should be alright but I haven't done much flying this past year. Would suggest you check the KLM board on flyertalk.com which is where all the frequent travelers hang out. There's sure to be multiple threads on this.

I’d take the four hour one. 55 mins is too short.

Schipol has had well publicised issues this summer and as PP have said distances are long. It also depends on your final destination, if your onward flight is into the Schengen Area you need to enter the external border via the Schengen gate which can be time consuming. I have missed connecting flights this way.
Depending on the above 55 mins seems tight but would be better if your incoming flight was the first of the day.
Assuming the airline has a duty for your onward connection I might risk the short connection but would see how full the following fligh is likley to be before risking it
