Will it be warm enough to swim?

Probably not in the sea, will start getting chilly by October in Menorca. Better weather than the UK but not sunbathing weather.

We have always swum in the sea when we've been October half term. Often it's beautiful and warm. We had one year when it rained a lot but the kids still went in.

Completely varies from year to year. Some years you'll be sun bathing and swimming, some years you'll be in [thin] trousers and long sleeve tops. You can still have a lovely time, but if you want guaranteed warmth, it's not the Balearics at the end of October.

I very much doubt it unless you are hardy types who swim in the sea at home. Pools also will be cold unless heated.
October half term is really as much winter in Menorca as it is here, albeit warmer.

A lot of resorts also start closing at the end of September so be careful where your going.

I was there one year at half term and we swam in the sea. The weather was variable though, and as others have said, the resort (Cala Galdana) was very much closing. The Tui rep at our hotel flew home with us in fact.

We found most bars and restaurants start closing around the 16th October. It isn't especially warm and we were astonished to see Menorcans in scarves and coats
