Nice wine in Tenerife

We are going to Tenerife on a half board package.

My travel companions and I stayed in the hotel chain before and the wines are Vina Sol and sweet wines. I didn't drink for the week as I don't like the wine and I don't drink beer or cocktails. We will have to eat dinner in the hotel.

I would welcome any recommendations for wine bars, nice wines, places to try for lunch which may have nice wines, red and white. My travel companions don't really eat lunch, so I am thinking of going out for lunch alone and having a salad or pasta with a glass of wine. I am in my 50s. Would this be odd to have a glass of wine with lunch when eating lunch alone?

My travel companions may go out for a cocktail sometimes. This is hit and miss as I order mineral water if I can 't get a nice wine.

We are living rurally and I hardly ever go out at night to have a meal and a glass of wine. Life is very busy with work and tweens so I would place great importance on a meal out with a glass of wine.

Where in Tenerife are you going?

I would go to the supermarket, buy a nice bottle and have it in your room or even better on your balcony.

We have dinner in the hotel at night, then we either go to a cocktail bar or sit in the hotel bar. We are not in the room until bedtime. We are in the room at 5 or 6pm until dinner at 7 30 but it seems unusual to have wine with no food at this time. My companions would wait and have a glass with the meal. They don't like the wine but would think it too early to have a drink at 6pm. Also I hope every evening thar I will discover a nice wine, where I can have 2 or 3 glasses in a bar or restaurant. If I have had ny wine in the room, I won"t want any more later in the eve.

I have wine at home at the weekend but it feels like a treat to have a glass in a restaurant or pub.
