Turkey is coming up a lot in November, anyone been then and is it cold and rainy? Thanks.

(Antalya area, as seems to have best climate but I'm not sure I trust the holiday companies)

Wouldn’t risk it myself, not even for October half term. You could be lucky or you could get a week of rain.

We were there in late October some years ago. It was still pleasantly warm and dry.

We did Kalkan last October half term, the weather was great, the occasional cloud and a little cooler in the evening but not much

Thanks, we usually go to Greece in October and we've always been lucky but I can't get away until November this year.

Not a fan of the canaries and trying to find a bit of late sun if we can.

Cyprus might be a better option

November - I'd be looking at Egypt or Cape Verde. Wouldn't risk Turkey.

Canaries maybe ok - been to Lanzarote in October half term and have had glorious sunshine one time and wind/rain the next.

When I'm paying ££££ for winter sunshine I want GUARANTEED sunshine not worrying that it might piss down for the whole of the holiday.

LimeFizz · 30/08/2022 22:43

Thanks, I thought it was going to be too late.

We didn't like Cape Verde or Egypt, and my mum is Cypriot so wanted somewhere else.

Might have to rethink the canaries but I like a warmer sea. (I know I'm lucky to be looking at holidays but I've got the money from a sad thing)

Sea is always so warm in Cyprus! Your mum would tell you that I guess OP!

We went to Dalaman end of October and the weather was glorious. Mid 20’s every day but felt hotter in the sun.

I went for the last two weeks of November last year and the weather was mostly lovely on the coast. Some cloudy days especially in the mountains. It's not reliable but you could get lucky like I did.

Turkey in Autumn is always a bit unpredictable weather wise. Sometimes it is still really warm in November, other times it is cold and rainy.

The sea is still warm so if you get the good weather you can certainly swim.
