Just maybe rethinking Edinburgh. As 2.DS will be staying with relatives in Durham. might be nicer for our 1or 2 night little break just to drive somewhere not too far.

Soo any suggestions for luxury hotel to relax in/ nice dinner/ bit of shopping/ sightseeing within about 50 miles of durham.

Hotel is the most important bit.
