Gatwick South Terminal at the moment?

Sorry it’s been done to death but has anyone travelled from Gatwick south terminal recently and could let me know just how busy it is?

wondering just how long we need to leave ( child with SEN who struggles in airports so want to minimise as much as I can - have booked special assistance which I understand is brilliant at Gatwick)

what time of day? We flew afternoons and it was fine. Security fastest I’ve known it. Busy in food areas of departures as people had got there so early so don’t do that to yourself!

Not too bad and with special assistance amcee even quicker.

Flew from there last week - an hour queue for bag drop but then quick thorough security. Didn't have time to get food as we had to get straight to the gate.

Thanks all - no bags to check in and an afternoon flight so sounding hopeful!

I'm not sure about South but we went through North recently and it was really easy, no queues at all

South, was easy breezy last Tuesday

Pretty good actually. Make sure you go via the family entrance for security as that was much quieter than the main queue.

We're here now, a having a drink in spoons😁
Dropped a bag at BA and through security in less than 20 mins.
Noticed there is a dedicated lane for families and assistance, our Dc are older so just used regular lane.
It's quite busy and buzzy upstairs but everyone seems really jolly!
Traffic from Norfolk wasn't great though but left loads of time luckily.
