Does anyone know when the next BA will be? Have I just missed it? 😭

Given that demand is exceeding supply right now, and BA are having to cut even more flights because of the restrictions at Heathrow, I think there's sweet fa of a chance of a sale any time soon.

Historically the big ones are September and January.

Emanresu9 · 30/08/2022 21:49

You’ve not missed it but I agree I can’t imagine one coming any time soon. There is usually one at the end of summer and in December or January but this year…. Why would they? Demand is crazy and supply is low

It’s started today apparently, just had an email.

Haha yes, just came to post the same!

The cancellations are through the rest of the year I I think, to give the shambles that is whoever runs Heathrow to get their act together. BAs sales are almost always about driving future bookings, and they can see the headwinds coming on the economic front so will be keen to get as many forward bookings as possible!

Sale is on but terrible. I priced up a hol yesterday which was £3800. As of today, its on sale for just £3850 👍 identical hol, less than 24hrs between the quotes, supposedly £300 discount on the sale quote. Thanks BA.

We had flights booked with BA for May next year and they've been cancelled, so merrily booked with someone else (thankfully cheaper) and will probably avoid BA for a while!

sparklecement · 01/09/2022 22:24

Not a great sale. No discounts at all. Just playing a game really.

Emanresu9 · 02/09/2022 21:31

That’s the worst BA sale I’ve ever seen

TBH that's not surprising and I'm not sure why BA bothered other than for PR purposes..."look, we've got our annual sale on".

As @HundredMilesAnHour and @Tryingtokeepgoing have said upthread capacity is being throttled by the antics of Heathrow PLC - and I agree with those who think there's no guarantee the stranglehold will really be released end of Oct.
