Trieste, Ljubljana, Bled

We have booked flights to Trieste (no direct flights from our airport to Ljubljana) for October half term.

We are going for 5 nights and arriving late into Trieste on the first night. Do we book:
2 nights in Trieste
2 nights in Ljubljana
1 night in Bled

or do we have fewer nights in Trieste/Ljubljana and 2 nights in Bled. How cold is Bled in October?

Not a lot to do in Trieste. Huge squares bars etc. 2 hrs to Venice. I would do one night.
