New Air BNB with no reviews

Hi there, I’ve used air bnb many times and never had any issues. I’m booking a last minute September break in Croatia - I have never been before. The Airbnb I would like to book is listed as ‘new’ and doesn’t have any reviews. It does look like it has some bookings for August.
Would you book regardless of it having no reviews, or book somewhere else that does?

I probably wouldn't unless a Superhost with other reviews for different properties.

Yeah same, if they have good reviews for other places I’d risk it, otherwise no

That’s really good advice, thank you! They aren’t a Superhost so I won’t take the risk

I have done this a couple of times and it's always been fine. Properties that are being listed for the first time are quite often cheaper than others in the area until they get some reviews so it can be a good way of grabbing a bargain!

i know it’s good to book a property with reviews but if it’s a new property they have to start somewhere.
We have a holiday home and I am happy some people took a chance and booked. Now we have reviews it will be better for us to get more bookings.

I’ve just been hunting for cheap accommodation in a European capital and some of the listings with no reviews look incredibly dubious - hosts how don’t even seem to be based in the same country, descriptions which are vague but seem designed to hit a lot of popular search terms (free parking etc). I wouldn’t touch those with a bargepole!

I have booked places with no reviews before but only when the listing seems clearly legit - detailed pictures and information about the property, good info about the host etc.

We did this in Croatia this summer - we got an absolutely amazing deal! Such a beautiful house and for much less than I suspect we would have paid if it had lots of reviews. I think between booking and our arrival it had gained five reviews.

We had a bit of a crap experience last year with a 'new' property. We ended up not leaving a review because we couldn't find anything nice to say and also didn't want to be reviewed badly in return - so bear in mind that no reviews doesn't definitely equal no stays.
