Looking to book Sorrento for my partners 30th. Looking to travel next year around June/July/august and looking for the best hotels/areas that are child friendly with a 1 year old! Thank you

We loved the Ambassador, which has a pool and also a pontoon down by the sea. BUT : we went half board and the food included was awful. The "public" restaurant was fabulous but expensive.

Stay in the centre. We've stayed in a couple slightly outside on the road uphill (Capodimonte and Bristol) neither of which would think suitable for a toddler due to being terraced and having many levels, with non child friendly pools. I think the Hilton is more family orientated but not stayed there.

I can't remember the exact hotel but when I went an Italian work mate told me a local secret. Don't stay I Sorrento, stay in St Agnello 10 mins along the coast. Half the price and just as lovely, a little train runs to Sorrento but you can walk it as well
. We saved a small fortune.

It was a few years ago, but we've stayed in the Hotel Caravel in St Agnello. Nice enough hotel but the food was terrible. We've also stayed in the Hotel de la Ville which was fantastic for location, food and decor. It's got quite pricey though!
