Just pricing up for next year.
How much have you paid or expect to pay for villa with private pool x3 bedrooms for 2 weeks in Greece?

Wow that sounds so expensive considering no activities or meals are included.

It depends on the villa and location, but for two weeks for a really nice villa close to amenities/in a nice area, that's about what we've paid in the past. You can get cheaper, but it depends what you are after.

It's a stones throw away from beach/shops etc. so excellent location. Has its own pool.
But yes self catering.

I found a villa last year on Rhodes for £2700 - 3 bedrooms and pool. It was in a village so there were a few restaurants and bars within walking distance but we always hire a car in any case. Wanted to go to Crete this year or even next but can't find anything around that price mark.

Am now having to choose my holiday locations based on villa prices and saving all the places I really want to go to for when we are no longer tied to school holidays.

I would go back to the Rhodes one though.

Theredjellybean · 16/08/2022 14:39

that sounds about right
for a decentish villa in a good location - so not 30 mins down the mountain in the car to get to a beach
we have paid £3300 for a villa sleeping 8 with pool, half mile walk to beach/restaurants etc on a greek island for the first week in sept.
that is just one week and at end of school holidays

It's probably one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions as a 3 bed villa could vary in style, pool size etc.

We rented a very nice small villa with private pool in Playa Blanca Lanzarote (walking distance to beach, marina, shops, restaurants) for about £500 just before COVID hit, so £5.5k sounds extortionate to me, so it must be considerably nicer for it to be that price.

We did see a cliff front property in Menorca that looked very posh and saw online that it was £1k per night so comparable to what you're looking at.

If you want to pay that much, you easily can, but I'm sure you can get something lovely in a good location for a lot less if you want to.

I think that's dear and we always stay in villas.
I have booked this for a week in July , just under 3000 euro.

Also stayed in a nice villa this year , it was about the same.
Maybe yours is much higher spec.?

so £5500 for two weeks is a similar price to yours.
