Ibiza - I know it's been done to death but please tell me about the quieter resorts

So after blinking months of deciding we have narrowed our September (2022) holiday to Ibiza.

It's a first for both of us (hence the appeal).

We are DC-free (well they are adults!) and are looking for something with a nice relaxed atmosphere but not too relaxed that we could have stayed at home.

We are flexible but want to do the following: AI, near beach, quiet but not too quiet (IYSWIM)

Opportunity to go on day trips (car hire etc), not too far from airports re coach/private transfers - one hour maximum (though realise private transfer would be quicker). History and culture would be lovely too

Not too hilly or too many steps - DH has minor mobility issues.

Nice promenades before lunch/dinner - a bit of history would be lovely too - throw in sightseeing and people watching and we'd be very happy.

Would like sunsets, beaches (me not DH) and a nice pool or two - not bothered if kids there (so not wanting to necessarily be "Adult Only") but obviously not massive water park vibes either.

Anyone know what would suit?

We love Ibiza there's so many lovely places! Nowhere is an hour transfer, it's so small. Based on what you've said o would recommend Ibiza town, do you like hotels or apartments? If you are good with self catering Rocco Isla is fabulous

Maybe Santa eularia would suit. I think there are several AI adults only hotels there and several 5 stars that are lovely. Prestige is lovely.

Or Talamaca as you have the beach, marina and the old town is just across the way. Fabulous hotels include Nobu (very expensive) Ocean Drive and Gran.

Cala Tarida is gorgeous

Santa Eularia was nice when I went there. On the quieter side, but a promenade with some cafes and restaurants.

Santa Eulalia, Es Cana, Cala Llenya and Cala Llonga are all lovely.

Santa Eulalia

Talamanca. Beautiful beach 30 mins walk from the capital lined with small bars and restaurants. The stunning Sa Punta restaurant is at the end of Talamanca. Can also get the little ferry boat across to the Old Town in the evening for top quality restaurants. If you’re doing two weeks, I’d do one week Talamanca and one week Formentera - ferry is one hour from the old town. Or at least do a day trip to Formentera - you’ll fall in love!
