Anyone done a coach transfer with Tui recently?

We are off to Lanzarote with Tui end of this week. Coach transfers are included.

Having seen the very generous hand luggage allowances, we are considering travelling hand luggage only. If so, we would want to get a taxi to our hotel, (rather than wait for everyone else to go through baggage reclaim, drop off at other hotels etc.....)

Obviously we would need to let the Tui rep know, so the coach isn't held up waiting for us. My question is, does the Tui transfers rep in the arrivals hall have the passenger lists so could cross us off, or would we anyway have to go out to the coach parking bay and let the rep on our specific resort coach know?

(We would want to use the return transfer, so I don't want to cancel transfers in the app).

Thanks in advance!

We have just got back and yes the driver had a checklist and waited for everyone including the really pissed bloke who kept getting off to go for a wee.

have you downloaded the app, you may be able to let them know through there or just go the rep / driver and let them know when you get there, will still be quicker than waiting for everyone to come through baggage reclaim.

Thank you. I sent an enquiry thos morning to Tui about this and in their usual stock answer/missing the point way they've replied to say that transfers are free so I can use them one way or both ways but they unfortunately won't be able to refund me if I don't use them....

Arrrrgghh!

Just tell the rep in the arrivals hall that you'll be getting a taxi and not getting on the coach. The rep can let the driver know, there's usually reps in the hall and other reps up in the car park as well directing people.

Make it clear that you still want the return transfer though.

Download the app

you can message the rep then and they reply within half hour usually

Not sure if you've flown into Lanzarote before, it's a small airport and the Reps are very visible.
We book a villa when we go so normally just pick up a cab outside the airport, even if queue is long it's very fast and well organised.
We go next Thursday, can't wait!🏝🍹

We have a tui holiday next year, not Lanzarote though, and don't want the transfers. I could log in to the 'manage my booking' and change it.

When I travelled with tui we were the last flight on the bus so they left as soon as we boarded (and the 5 others on our flight) baggage claim was super fast anyway

Thanks all! I've spoken with a rather more helpful Tui person and they've taken me off the list for the outbound transfer (but I'll still speak to the Tui rep at the airport just in case - good to know they'll be visible and we don't need to hunt down our actual bus!).
