Recommendations for a family cruise

My mum (mid-70's) has recently come back from a cruise that she really enjoyed, and wants us all to now go on a family one together

It wouldn't normally be my cuppa tea as I imagine cruises for be the older generations, but can someone recommend a company to look at which is more geared for families with kids (age 5 to 11)?

We'd probably be looking to do something for a week in February

We go on our second cruise with Disney next week and I honestly cannot recommend it enough! Perfect for kids, the kids club is phenomenal so much my 8 year old (usually clingy) wouldn't leave! 😂
They also have incredible food, entertainment, spa and adult only district. Best experience of my life 🙂

Disney would also be my first suggestion if you can afford it. It was my favourite cruise and they are fabulous for all ages.
Second choice, Royal Caribbean, they are are good fun all rounder cruise company.
Cruises really are for all ages.

Royal Caribbean- they're great for all ages!

P and O do great cruises, loads of entertainment and kids clubs up to 17 years old.

Royal Caribbean - best ever family holiday

LondonWolf · 15/08/2022 20:53

Disney every time. We've done five! They're addictive though.

@hoolahoopin 👋 ooooh which ship?
We're going on the Wish next week 😱😱 embark on the 26th for the 3 night!
I am sooooo excited and ready for this lol!

gogohmm · 16/08/2022 08:03

Disney but pricey. Royal Caribbean or Norwegian are more family oriented but most have kids facilities. Speak to a specialist cruise company eg I use bolsover cruise club

hoolahoopin · 16/08/2022 08:12

@LolaSparkle ooh the Wish! We're going on the Magic on 28th.

LolaSparkle · 16/08/2022 08:46

@hoolahoopin oh I'm dying to go on the magic ... think that will be our next one! We did that Dream last time so trying to work my through ... determined to become platinum Castaway Club 😂😂 only reason I go to work 🤣🤣🤣
Have a wonderful time on the Magic! 🚢
