Ryanair Seatbelt Length

Hi,

I’m due to go on holiday in a couple of weeks and I’m flying with Ryanair. I’m a larger curvier lady (size uk 18/20 but I carry weight on my hips/thighs) and I was wondering about the seatbelt length and whether it will actually do up. I looked online and saw that the length is 30inches… is that the length of the whole seatbelt when done up or is it the length of the part of the belt with the buckle? Absolutely terrified about going on this flight and having to have a seatbelt extender so any help will be greatly appreciated!

Please don't worry about this. If you need an extender, just ask the cabin crew and they will be discreet. Plenty of people use these, it's perfectly normal.

There was a similar thread recently:

I believe it is the maximum for the whole belt, you can ask for a seatbelt extender as you board and the crew will bring it for you or I believe you can purchase your own and take it with you.

You might not need one due to the angle of the seat belt.

It will be the whole belt but don't forget it only needs to go round half of your body so a size 18 waist which is 40 should only need around 20 in's giving you still a 3rd if the belt length to play with

@Nurse2023
can I ask how you got on with your ryanair flight? Did the seatbelt fit?
