How long do you tend to go on holiday for in Europe?

Is 1 week the norm or too short or too long? I know it will vary dependent on the type of holiday but just wondered what others tend to do

We're in Italy for two weeks currently and did 2 weeks in Tenerife last year. But as we're close to Slovenia, we're going on a day trip to Slovenia tomorrow. I love beach holidays and can easily stay in one place for 2 weeks. We're away with my parents though who love to travel and we have a car here.

I love long holidays, but sometimes we have to only go away for 7 nights (for financial or annual leave reasons).

When we visit my parents' house in Germany we sometimes stay longer. When the pandemic hit, we stayed in Germany for over 2 months.
