We are flying into Portugal next Friday and have just read there are probable strikes-I could cry!

Is anyone else flying out there next weekend? What happens in this sort of situation-is everything cancelled for the whole duration of the strike?

Found it here, but nowhere else.

You’d think it would be on Twitter somewhere though?

Ok, using a bit of cross over from French (I know a greve when I see one) plus what few words of Brazilian Portuguese I've picked up over the years the headline here translates as something like:

"Strike of airport services between 19 and 21st cancelled after marathon negotiations.."

expresso.pt/economia/2022-08-10-Greve-de-servicos-aeroportuarios-entre-19-a-21-de-agosto-foi-desmarcada-apos-maratona-de-negociacoes-937117d8

Any thoughts?

Still nothing from any of the more direct outlets....

That’s good news, are those the official sources? We fly back when the second batch of strikes are taking place 🫣

I agree if you are traveling it would be really nice to see a press release from either side (Union or employer)..The only press release issued today on SINTACs website refers to the second strike..

Maybe they'll get something out later this evening or in the AM, or maybe the MSM stuff is all we will see...

Hopefully it's a case of mainstream media jumping on the bandwagon too late...

I had a look at the Safe Communities Portugal Facebook page and I'm choosing to trust what they say, it seems legit to me!
