Booking excursions in Tenerife - recommendations?

Going to Tenerife in a couple of weeks time. We went before about ten years ago and booked some trips in advance. Seemed to be a good thing to have done - we were chatting to a couple on one of the same trips as us, and they were asking how much we paid because they booked in the resort and suspected they’d paid too much. They had paid a lot more than us.

Is it still best to book and pay in advance? Can anyone recommend a company? I’ve looked online and there are so many!

We’ll probably do a boat trip, Mount Teide and Siam Park as we did before. Is it worth booking Siam Park or is just turning up ok? Someone here suggested that the evening sessions there are good (the kids are now late teens so this is possible). Has anyone done this recently and how was it?

We did this last year and it was really good - saw lots of dolphins and whales and the food was delicious too! (We went late afternoon.)

You can book Siam park online from the uk.

Booking other tours will be easy because there's always things around.

Boat trips you may be able to book through the company's from the uk. Dependent on where your staying will depend on where you want to sail from because you'd need to get yourself there. The main ports they leave from are Peurto Colon and Los Gigantes.

The thing to remember is the booking centres are often cheaper however they also take guests from a larger variety of hotels compared to companies that have large numbers in one hotel. That will make a difference with amount of time doing pick ups etc.
the pick ups are often shorter if you are told to meet at a certain point rather than hotel pick up.

I'd recommend a jeep safari for teide. Or even hire your own for the day and explore the whole island.

Thanks @Pkrwbssdp and @itsgettingweird .
I did book from the uk last time but couldn’t remember which company. I’ve remembered now - it was Attractions Direct and they seemed to be good.

We went recently and I reckon the hotel charged lower rates for these excursions than GetYourGuide did! Shame really, we could have saved if we'd waited and booked onsite.

We were hugely impressed with the Jungle Park www.junglepark.es/en/ . We loved it much more than the famous zoo. My daughter also swam with seals there. It's really worth going.
