Kefalonia - Menai

I'm going to be in Menai, Kefalonia (near to airport) for a few days next week with me daughter (11). Does anyone have any recommendations of things to do, places to visit, places to eat etc? I will have no car, just a bike but don't mind getting a taxi a short distance. Thank you!

hi Op I’ve been to kef a lot not familiar with Menai at all but the small resort of Lassi is near the airport which has beautiful beaches and tavernas and the capital of the island Argostoli is very near to Lassi it’s lovely

There is a Facebook page called Best Of Kefalonia. Pop a post on, as it’s made up of locals and regular visitors who give great advice. I hope you have a great time. My parents retired there years ago and love it

Also very confused about "Menai". Is that a typo? Svoronata is near the airport but I'm not aware of anything or anywhere called Menai

If you can get to Argostoli early enough in the morning and go to the harbour then you might spot some sea turtles as they like to follow the fishing boats in. There are a few nice little cafes and bakeries along the sea front.

this the turtle volunteer program yes ? I read have read about this , how lovely and a wonderful experience for your daughter.
there are nesting sites all over the island you will have a fantastic time - its a lovely island

We were in Katelios at the time of the cyclone/Medicane - so only really had a half a holiday, which was a great shame. But we're trying again this September - let's hope for calmer weather.
