That's it really we have booked a week in a cottage in Cheddar at the end of may/start of June. We already plan on going to Longleat and to the gorge but what are your top 3 things to do in the area with a toddler?

I'm in South Somerset, so don't know the cheddar area that well, but Longleat is great, first took dd aged 2 (on her birthday - she loved it!)If the weather is good go to the beach, I prefer the Dorset coast, but Somerset coast is good too, and not so child friendly but Bath is great for shopping.

Ah we holiday in cheddar often (and originate from the area anyway)

Brean has a wonderful kids animal place called animal farm with a fab soft play barn

Glastonbury is nice, in a hippyish sorta way- check out the Clarks Shopping Village in Street

besta dvice: get your hands on a brochure for soemwhere like broadway house (a cheddar camp site) as they always list the local tourist attractions

Animal Farm (the one Peachy is referring to)

Weston sea front if you can cope with tacky beach with donkeys.

I've heard Puxton Park is good, haven't been there though, it is new.

Bristol Zoo

Banwell Castle for afternoon tea, chickens etc running around and a Teddy Bear Museum
