Report from Leeds Bradford 8am flight

We flew this morning at 8am - did twilight drop off last night which was so simple. Used the 1 hour free parking. Arrived at 5.30 this morning. Had booked fast track and literally walked straight through security. The fast track queue is well marked. The normal
queue was long so definitely worth the fast track fee. The only issue we had was that there was nowhere to sit once we went through security!

I’m just copying this from the Heathrow thread!

I’m glad it all went well OP.

May I advise others, not to turn up 3 hours + to an airport if you’re only travelling on hand luggage (especially if you’ve checked in the bulk of stuff, liquids etc the night before). The queues at Starbucks and masses of passengers not having a seat airside that people are mentioning, are due to people turning up way too early.

The congestion airside was due to people turning up earlier than needed. This is a major factor contributing to the chaos at airports.

Thank you @HotInMajorca we are going in a week and I wondered how things are, will definitely book fast pass.
Have you got chance to see how busy was in the lounge? We’ve used it once when DD was much younger, it was pure waste of money, too expensive for the amount of food we’ve eaten so I’m not sure if need it this time.

I didn’t I’m afraid. The only thing to note though is that there is very little seating once you get through security so might be more relaxing in the lounge
